PWR Policies

The matters discussed are personal and will be kept in strict confidence. However there are certain exceptions where it is mandatory by law for PWR Health Consultants to disclose your information. These include but are not to be considered comprehensive:

  • Any concern regarding child abuse or sexual abuse by a health professional
  • Suspicion of being unfit to drive
  • Risk of suicide or inability to take care of yourself or a danger to another person
  • A judge’s order
  • By the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and Ministry of Health for audit purposes

Consents will be expected to be signed between your specialists, your lawyers, your parole/probation officer, your health care providers, and PWR for the purpose of providing you with collaborative care.

As a requirement for participation in all PWR programs, you will be expected to maintain a personal Binder. This demonstrates your commitment to treatment. Your Binder may be used in both the legal and therapeutic process to illustrate change.

All individual appointments are scheduled to last for 60 minutes.

All group appointments are scheduled to last for 120 minutes.

Appointments may be booked by phone or email.

At PWR, we take your appointments seriously because we understand that changing your life is an intentional and long term process that requires commitment and resolve.

If medication is required, Dr. Doupe is available to initiate and help identify the right one. However, informing your family physician for ongoing prescribing is your responsibility.
